چکیده

Agent-based simulation is being recognized as a useful tool for the study of social systems. It is based on the idea that agents can be used as a good abstraction of members of a society, and by simulating their interactions, observe the emergent behavior. Usually, agent-based models for socialion of members of a society, and by simulating their interactions, observe the emergent behavior. Usually, agent-based models for social simulation are rather simple, but there are more and more works that try to apply this technique for rather complex systems, both in the typology of the agents and their relationships, and in scalability. For this reason, software engineering techniques are required that would facilitate the development of agent-based simulation systems. In this sense, it can be useful to consider agentoriented methodologies, as they cope with these requirements. This work explores the application of a model-driven methodology for the development of Multi-Agent Systems, INGENIAS. There are several advantages of this approach. One is the possibility to define specific modeling languages that are conceptually close to the domain-expert, in this case for simulation of social systems. This will facilitate the communication of multidisciplinary teams and, by generating code from models, the social scientist is alleviated from the concerns of programming for a simulation platform. This is illustrated with a case study of urban dynamics.

A Data-driven Method for Crowd Simulation using a Holonification Model

In this paper, we present a data-driven method for crowd simulation with holonification model. With this extra module, the accuracy of simulation will increase and it generates more realistic behaviors of agents. First, we show how to use the concept of holon in crowd simulation and how effective it is. For this reason, we use simple rules for holonification. Using real-world data, we model the...

Automatic Generation of a Multi Agent System for Crisis Management by a Model Driven Approach

Considering the increasing occurrences of unexpected events and the need for pre-crisis planning in order to reduce risks and losses, modeling instant response environments is needed more than ever. Modeling may lead to more careful planning for crisis-response operations, such as team formation, task assignment, and doing the task by teams. A common challenge in this way is that the model shou...

A novel method for detecting structural damage based on data-driven and similarity-based techniques under environmental and operational changes

The applications of time series modeling and statistical similarity methods to structural health monitoring (SHM) provide promising and capable approaches to structural damage detection. The main aim of this article is to propose an efficient univariate similarity method named as Kullback similarity (KS) for identifying the location of damage and estimating the level of damage severity. An impr...

An Agent- based Modeling for Breast Tissue Simulation and the Growth and Spread of Tumor in Various Breast Cancer States

Introduction: Breast cancer is a cancer that is caused by abnormal growth of breast cells. Modeling  and simulation of the growth and treatment of breast cancer, along with providing the possibility of doing experiments and research, can reduce the time and cost of treatment by predicting some cases. The purpose of the present research was to develop an agent-based model for the simulation of b...
